Challenges that lie ahead of us
Group projects are managed by the holding company with a gradual unification of business processes and information technologies. Jedox platform was selected to unite and improve the planning process. Deployment took place at the holding company level.
The original implementation partner demonstrated adequate technical knowledge of Jedox products, however, a discrepancy occurred between the draft of the planning model and the business requirements of the customer. For that reason, Neit Consulting was called upon to take over both the implementation project and business consulting.
The solution we have come up with
After analyzing the business requirements of our customer, we have recommended developing a new planning model using Jedox. In order to cover all requirements of every entity functioning within the Dr. Max holding company, we have decided to involve end-users from the financial and the controlling departments of each individual branch.
The architecture of the planning model was laid out in a way so that the planning solution delivered in the first part of the project could be effortlessly extended by the forecasting solution shortly after. An integration architecture was created to exchange data between the Jedox planning solution, the tools for financial consolidation, and the data warehouse for reporting.
Owing to the intensive work of our experienced business consultants, we were able to meet the deadline and successfully implement the solution. The implementation was done in two phases – first the budgeting solution, then the forecasting.
Added value
The planning process is fully automated.
Users are inputting data straight into the application, meaning a whole lot less obscure Excel files.
Planning is no longer dependent on the data input from the IT department.
Even with the extent of the holding, all planning processes are done on time.
We have managed to save the time required for the manual data input.
